Are you interested in undergoing laser hair removal?
If you are, you’ve probably had dreams of smoother, hair-free skin. Maybe you’ve been picturing how you’ll rock that bikini without feeling self-conscious about body hair. Perhaps you’re imagining being able to take off your shirt at the gym, confident in the fact that your back and shoulders are fuzz-free.
But there’s one thing that may be holding you back from undergoing laser hair removal: the amount of time takes to complete the procedure.
How Long Does It Take to Complete Laser Hair Removal?
While every patient is different, in general, you can expect to undergo 3-8 laser hair removal sessions before seeing smooth, hair-free skin. The amount of time it takes to complete these treatments can depend on the following factors:
- The area that’s being treated
- Your skin tone
- Your follicular growth cycles
- And more
As a rule of thumb, it takes fewer sessions to get hair-free skin on smaller body areas (like the bikini line or chin), while larger areas (like the back or legs) can take several sessions.
Laser Hair Removal Consultations Available
Keep in mind that these sessions usually need to be schedule about three weeks apart, so we typically recommend clients undergo laser hair removal in the winter months to be ready for summer fun.
How Long are the Laser Hair Removal Procedures?
Again, the treatment times depend on the area that’s being treated; however, you can expect most of your laser hair removal sessions to last anywhere from thirty minutes to an hour. You may feel a warming sensation during your treatment, so be sure to mention to your hair removal specialist if you’re feeling uncomfortable.
