The patient is a 51-year-old man who wanted to improve the appearance of his lower lids. Upon examination, it was found that he presented with a moderate degree of lower lid fat pad herniation (protrusion of fat from the eye socket) and moderate rhytids (wrinkles). To address these concerns, he underwent a lower lid blepharoplasty. The primary objective of the surgery was to create a more youthful and refreshed appearance to the lower eyelids. By removing the excess fat and tightening the skin and muscle, the patient achieved a smoother and more toned lower lid contour, resulting in a more vibrant and alert appearance.
